I was a volunteer on Friday. I worked two seminars in panel room 2.
Neither panel was well attended.
- The first was with illustrator/author Kirk Scoggs. He was very nice, congenial and engaged with the few of us who were there. I talked to him after and we agreed a 4pm on Friday time slot was a poor choice for an author of children's books. A lot of kids aren't even home from school at that time or have after school sports, etc. commitments. Another volunteer and I also noticed some other events geared toward kids were scheduled at the same time as the children's costume parade.
- The Con, as a whole needed more interior signage. "The Ballroom is that way *arrow* the panel room 2 is this way *arrow*... Some signs could even be swapped out each day so the gave direction to a room AND that rooms schedule.
